Im 18 years old and I wanna try out for gymnastics. I wanna learn how to do flips and to develop my core to the point that I can hang on a pole like a flag. I also want to develop my flexibility. Is it possible to do so? I havent been very physically active in months now… Ive been taking alot of gym before so I didnt really focus on my flexibility.
I’ve seen men who took gymnastics in their 20s so I think it’s fine. If you will do it supervised by a professional it should be fine. You’ll need to work out a lot though, work on your flexibility, practice and warm up very well before attempting anything. You also need to learn the proper technique. After you know that just do your best, don’t be afraid and have fun.
am I too late to take gymnastics on a freerun level(front/back/side flips)? im 18 years old?

Nope. Go for it.
Call me when you can fit your legs behind your head.

you might not be able to do back flips and other kinds of flips if you haven’t been physically active for a while and your 18. you might be able to get your splits or maybe even a backhandspring. gymnastics is pretty tuff, so you must have your mind set to it. go ahead and try, and like i said, you might get a backhandspring!

Of course you can! There are 40 year olds who start gymnastics! It is great for your body. If you have good training and proper instruction, you should be able to be safe and have fun. Join a class! Gymnastics is great.

10 years gymnastics
Of course you can. I’ve done it at 19, I got all my backfilps and splits just fine, and I competed for my college team. And I’m not very flexible by nature. But I was doing sports from age 6 so it was not that hard for me.
